Yuva Kabaddi Series: Dominant Victories Shine on Day 2 of Division 1

Coimbatore, Jan 4 (NationPress) The Kurukshetra Warriors, Sonipat Spartans, Palani Tuskers, and Karpagam Raiders achieved impressive victories during the second day of the 11th Yuva Kabaddi Series - Division 1 at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education on Saturday.
The day kicked off with an exceptional display by the Kurukshetra Warriors, who triumphed over the Murthal Magnets with a score of 58-36. Manpreet Kumar came off the bench to become the top scorer with 13 raid points, while Akshay Ahri showcased his skills with an all-around performance, securing 12 points. The team’s defense was formidable, highlighted by Anurag Omvir achieving a High 5. Despite Vinay's impressive 15 raid points and Ankit Dhull's seven tackle points for the Magnets, the team faced their second loss in a row.
In the next match, the Sonipat Spartans continued their winning momentum by defeating the Aravalli Arrows with a score of 44-35. Ankit Kumar Rana led the scoring with 13 raid points, while both Naveen Sharma and Ashish delivered impressive defensive performances, each earning a High 5. For the Arrows, Vishnu Sharma was the standout performer with nine raid points, and Navpreet Singh added four tackle points and one raid point, but it wasn’t enough for victory.
The third match turned out to be a one-sided contest, with the Palani Tuskers overpowering the Chennai Tamizhans with a score of 53-29. Vishva Asalavan led the raiding efforts with 12 points, while Sakthivel Thangavelu excelled with a balanced performance, contributing five raid points and five tackle points. For Chennai, Pottal Muthu Murugan was the only notable contributor with six points in a generally underwhelming showing.
In the concluding match of the day, the Karpagam Raiders notched their first victory of the tournament against the Jaipur Thunders, finishing with a score of 46-28. R. Gowtham was the standout player, achieving a Super 10, while Gajenthiramoorthi Murugesan was a defensive force, tallying nine tackle points and two raid points. Nakul Saini of Jaipur managed seven raid points, but his efforts were insufficient as the Thunders struggled throughout the match.
