Yuva Kabaddi Series: Dominating Performances Highlight Division 1 Opening Day

Coimbatore, Jan 3 (NationPress) The opening day of Division 1 of the 11th Yuva Kabaddi Series commenced with four emphatic victories at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, featuring the Sonipat Spartans, Kurukshetra Warriors, Chennai Tamizhans, and Palani Tuskers.
The first match showcased a high-scoring battle between the Sonipat Spartans and Murthal Magnets, with Sonipat claiming a decisive 52-40 victory.
Ankit Saharwa shone brightly for Sonipat, coming off the bench to score 18 raid points. The Spartans' defense was formidable, with Rahul Ahri and Mohit Kuldeep both achieving four tackle points each. Despite a commendable effort from Murthal, spearheaded by Umesh Panwar with 14 raid points and Vijay Kumar contributing four tackle points, they fell short.
In the second match, Kurukshetra Warriors secured a comfortable 46-35 win over the Aravalli Arrows. The standout performer was Ankit Dahiya, who delivered an impressive all-round performance with seven raid points and three tackle points. Deepanshu Khatri excelled defensively, achieving a High 5. For the Arrows, Vishnu Sharma scored nine raid points, and Deepak Choudhary also earned a High 5, but their efforts weren't enough to secure a win.
The third game featured the Chennai Tamizhans overpowering the Jaipur Thunders with a score of 38-26. The performance of Thirukumaran Murugan, who registered eight raid points and two tackle points, was crucial for Chennai. Both Sanjay Rajan and Ajay Muthaiya achieved High 5s in defense, contributing to the overall team dominance. Jaipur struggled, with Nakul Saini leading their scores with five raid points.
In the final match of the day, the Palani Tuskers triumphed over the Karpagam Raiders with an impressive score of 57-20. Vishva Asalavan was the key player for Palani, scoring 13 raid points, supported by solid performances from teammates. For Karpagam, Selvakumar Murugan was the sole standout, scoring six raid points, but it was a largely one-sided contest as Palani dominated.
