Yuva Kabaddi Series: Himalayan Tahrs Maintain Lead; Ranchi Rangers Claim Initial Victory in Division 3

Coimbatore, Dec 19 (NationPress) The Yuva Kabaddi Series Division 3 showcased an array of thrilling conclusions and strong performances on Day 5 at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education.
The leading team, Himalayan Tahrs, made a remarkable comeback to secure a narrow 27-26 win against the Dehradun Dynamos, sustaining their dominance at the top of the table.
The Dynamos held the lead for a significant portion of the match, but a crucial tackle by Lovepreet Saini in the last minute shifted the momentum to the Tahrs. Lal Singh spearheaded the raiding efforts for the Tahrs with nine raid points, while Deepak Lohan also scored nine raid points for the Dynamos, but lacked adequate support.
The Ranchi Rangers celebrated their first victory of the season with a commanding 58-44 win over the Chambal Challengers. Prince Kumar Roy was unstoppable, accumulating an impressive 21 raid points, while Rahul Gope contributed 17 raid points to the Rangers' score. Despite exceptional performances from the Challengers’ Ajay Maravi and Abhishek Kumar, who scored 19 and 16 raid points, respectively, their team struggled to match the Rangers' relentless offense.
The day kicked off with an exciting game as the Ladakh Wolves earned a hard-fought 41-36 victory over the Dehradun Dynamos. The match was closely contested until the last 10 minutes, but the Wolves surged ahead with a strong finish. Anil Kumar delivered a Super 10, and Rajan Singh Manhas made significant contributions with seven tackle points and four raid points, securing the win for the Wolves.
Despite Subham Deshwal’s Super 10 and Pankaj Sharma’s nine tackle points for the Dynamos, they fell short towards the end.
Another match featured the Vasco Vipers achieving a decisive 45-35 victory over the Indore Invincibles. Prince shone brightly for the Vipers, scoring 17 raid points, while Prianshu and Sachin delivered High 5s in defense. Indore’s Ritin managed a Super 10, but the lack of defensive support hindered their performance.
In the day’s closing match, the Tadoba Tigers roared to a 43-38 victory against the Konark Kings, propelling them to second place in the standings. Shrikant Raut led the charge with 15 raid points, while Aniket Gawande achieved a High 5.
Suraj Pawar’s impactful all-around display added to the Tigers’ strength. Despite Super 10s from the Kings’ Rajesh Dehury and Niroj Kumar Sethi, they were unable to avert defeat.
