Yuva Kabaddi Series: Himalayan Tahrs Maintain Their Dominance as Division 3 Finals Approach

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Dec 19 (NationPress) The Himalayan Tahrs have upheld their winning momentum in the 11th season of the Yuva Kabaddi Series, inching towards the finale of the Division 3 segment at the Karpagam Academy of Higher Education here on Thursday. Day 6 of the series featured some lopsided contests that still managed to deliver thrills as teams battled for their chances to reach the finals. The Himalayan Tahrs have been relentless, reinforcing their lead at the top of the leaderboard.
The day's events commenced with the Vasco Vipers achieving a resounding victory against the Chambal Challengers, keeping their aspirations for a top-two finish alive. Prince showcased his skills with a Super 10, but the match's highlight was Sachin, whose double High 5 with 11 tackle points set the stage for the Vipers. Prianshu provided stellar defensive support with five tackle points. For the Challengers, substitute Abhishek Kumar attempted to change the course with 14 raid points, but his individual effort fell short due to a lack of team backing.
In the subsequent match, the leading Himalayan Tahrs furthered their winning streak with a gritty triumph over the Ranchi Rangers. Substitute raider Palvinder Singh was the star of the match, netting nine raid points, while Shivansh Thakur and Lovepreet Singh shone on the defensive end. Monu Kumar stood out for Ranchi, achieving seven tackle points, but his efforts were in vain due to inadequate support from his teammates.
The Chambal Challengers faced their second defeat of the day against the Dehradun Dynamos, who triumphed by a margin of 10 points. Subham Deshwal and Deepak Lohan each contributed nine raid points, while Udit Kumar excelled as an all-rounder. Once again, Abhishek Kumar from Chambal delivered a Super 10, but the lack of reliable support led to yet another loss for the Challengers.
The Tadoba Tigers secured their second position on the table with a commanding win over the Ladakh Wolves. Raiders Rushikesh Tiwale and Abhishek Nimbalkar each contributed nine raid points, while defender Ritik Kholapure excelled with six tackle points. Despite commendable performances from Sandeep Singh, who scored 14 raid points, and Ashish Singh, who managed seven tackle points, the Wolves could not clinch the victory.
The day concluded with the Konark Kings overpowering the Indore Invincibles in a commanding fashion. Rajesh Dehury led the charge with 14 raid points, complemented by an all-around performance from Niroj Kumar Sethi. For the Invincibles, Anil Gurjar put forth a strong effort with 18 raid points, but the lack of backing from his teammates proved detrimental.
