Bhopal, Aug 19 (NationPress) The 12-day enigma surrounding the vanishing of 28-year-old Archana Tiwari, who went missing on August 7 while journeying from Indore to Katni by train, has come to an end. Sources have confirmed as of Tuesday that she has been located.
Officials revealed that Archana had been in contact with a constable stationed in Gwalior, who is currently under investigation. It was also reported that she has communicated with her mother, providing her location, and a GRP team has been dispatched to bring her back.
Archana’s brother, Divyanshu Mishra, assured that she is “alive and safe” and has been in touch with her family via phone.
GRP Superintendent Rahul Kumar Lodha informed the press earlier that investigators had received “solid information” that could potentially resolve the case.
Archana, a young lawyer practicing at the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and preparing for Civil Judge examinations, had left her hostel on August 7 with Rakshabandhan gifts for her family in Katni. She boarded the Indore-Bilaspur Narmada Express (B-3 coach) that evening.
Her last known call was to her aunt at 10:16 p.m., indicating that the train was nearing Bhopal. When the train arrived in Katni the following morning, her family awaited her at the platform, but Archana was nowhere to be found.
Her bag was subsequently discovered at Umaria station, while her phone was last active near Rani Kamlapati station in Bhopal, briefly connecting at Itarsi. The final signal was traced near the Narmada Railway Bridge in Narmadapuram, the center of search efforts.
Witnesses last spotted her on the train at Itarsi station. What happened after that remained a mystery until the developments on Tuesday.
According to reports, a GRP team is en route to “retrieve” Archana, signaling what officials describe as a significant breakthrough in the investigation.
