Key Takeaways
Patna, June 12 (NationPress) The Bihar Congress faction has staged a protest march in Patna, expressing alarm over the escalating unemployment crisis in the state.
The protest, which commenced at the Income Tax Golambar and concluded at the Employment Office, was spearheaded by Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram and saw the involvement of numerous senior party officials and supporters.
Joining the demonstration was Congress MP from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda, who vehemently criticized the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar administration.
"Congress and Rahul Gandhi have a definitive plan for job creation. Employment stands as a paramount concern. The current government has failed the youth of Bihar for more than two decades," Hooda asserted.
"The citizens of Bihar will rally behind Congress and its coalition in the upcoming Assembly elections to end this misgovernance," he continued.
Echoing Hooda's sentiments, the State Congress President remarked: "The so-called nationalist administration has substituted employment challenges with divisive tactics based on caste and religion. Our youth are compelled to migrate for employment. Congress is advocating for the restoration of dignity and opportunities for Bihar's younger generation."
Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Congress' State Legislature Party leader, also criticized the ruling JD-U-BJP coalition, stating: "JD-U leaders previously labeled BJP a 'Badka Jhutha Party' (Big Liar Party), and now they are governing together. Their reign has brought chaos and unemployment to Bihar. The populace is discerning the deception and will respond accordingly in the forthcoming elections."
The protest witnessed a substantial turnout of Congress supporters and officials, causing significant traffic disruptions along Bailey Road and nearby areas.
A heavy police presence was deployed to manage the crowd and restore traffic order.
The Congress leadership has emphasized that employment will be a pivotal issue in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, pledging to halt the migration of youth and implement substantial job reforms if elected.
