Hyderabad, Oct 19 (NationPress) A bullet was found with a passenger at the Hyderabad Metro Station, according to police reports.
On Saturday night, a 9 mm bullet was discovered in the bag of a young man at the Moosapet Metro Station. The individual was identified as Mohammed, originally from Bihar, who is employed at a local fabrication unit.
The situation unfolded when Mohammed placed his bag for screening prior to boarding the metro. Security personnel detected the bullet during the luggage check and promptly notified higher authorities.
He was detained and subsequently turned over to the police. Following a report from the Metro security officials, a case was registered at the Kukatpally Police Station.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to uncover how the bullet came to be in the passenger's possession. A police officer stated that they are currently interrogating the young man, who resides in Pragathinagar.
Notably, Moosapet Metro Station was the site of a stabbing incident last month, where a 19-year-old girl suffered injuries inflicted by her boyfriend.
The 20-year-old suspect allegedly stabbed the woman in the abdomen during a fit of rage. Investigations revealed that the suspect was distressed due to her distancing from him because of his alcohol issues.
According to police, both individuals had attended a government school in Moosapet until Class 10 and had maintained their relationship even after leaving school due to financial constraints. However, their relationship deteriorated as the accused's alcohol addiction worsened, leading her to avoid him.
Meanwhile, in Nizamabad, Telangana, police are still pursuing a suspect connected to the murder of a police constable.
The constable was allegedly killed by a habitual offender during an arrest related to a bike theft case on the night of October 17.
Constable E. Pramod, 42, along with his nephew, attempted to apprehend Riyaz. Pramod was riding a bike with his nephew as a passenger, and the suspect was placed between them.
Suddenly, the 24-year-old assailant attacked Pramod with a knife. When Pramod's nephew intervened, the attacker also stabbed him. Two accomplices arrived on a bike and assisted in fleeing the scene. Although a Sub-Inspector attempted to intervene, he was also attacked.
Pramod was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His nephew is currently receiving treatment.
