Bhopal, Aug 11 (NationPress) In a startling turn of events that highlights the state of law and order, a group of five to six armed individuals executed a robbery at the ESAF Small Finance Bank located in the Khitola region of Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district on Monday.
The masked assailants arrived on separate motorcycles, stormed the bank, and brandished pistols as they carried out the theft in broad daylight.
This brazen act occurred between 9:30 and 10 am at the bank branch situated near the National Highway at the Sihora and Khitauli intersection.
Preliminary reports indicate that the thieves made off with around 10 kg of gold and Rs. 6 lakh in cash. However, the police have noted that these figures may change as investigations progress.
In the wake of the incident, police teams from Khitauli and Sihora have arrived on-site to initiate their inquiries.
Authorities are currently analyzing CCTV footage from both the bank and the nearby areas. However, the escape route taken by the robbers remains unclear.
