Agartala/Aizawl, Dec 19 (NationPress) In light of the unstable conditions in Bangladesh, Eastern Command Commander Lt Gen R.C. Tiwari, accompanied by General Officer Commanding Lt Gen Abhijit S. Pendharkar, inspected the India-Bangladesh border in Mizoram and Tripura to assess the current security dynamics and readiness along the frontier.
A statement shared on the official X handle of the Eastern Command of the Indian Army on Friday mentioned: “Lt Gen R.C. Tiwari, Army Commander EC, along with Senior Military Officers, visited the operational Base of Assam Rifles and BSF under Spear Corps at Parva in Mizoram, to evaluate the security status along the Indo-Bangladesh Border.”
“The Army Commander EC praised the Assam Rifles and BSF personnel for their unwavering commitment, resilience, and exceptional level of operational readiness,” the statement indicated.
Both Lt Gen Tiwari and Lt Gen Pendharkar, along with senior Army officials, proceeded to southern Tripura’s Belonia to examine the security scenario along the border.
