Patna, Oct 29 (NationPress) As Bihar prepares for the Assembly elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi delivered a powerful address to a large audience in the Sakra constituency of Muzaffarpur on Wednesday. He launched a pointed critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling NDA government, claiming that PM Modi only values votes and is indifferent to the struggles faced by the populace.
“Narendra Modi is only interested in securing votes. If you asked him to perform on stage in exchange for your vote, he would gladly oblige. He is willing to do anything for votes,” he remarked, addressing the crowd despite the rain.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of exploiting religious sentiments for political advantage.
“While people were worshipping and bathing in the Yamuna River during Chhath, Modi was enjoying himself in a private swimming pool. This indicates he has no genuine connection with the faith of Bihar — he merely seeks your votes,” he charged.
The Congress MP asserted that PM Modi prioritizes industrialists over the underprivileged.
“Once the elections conclude, you won't see Narendra Modi standing with farmers or the impoverished. He has devastated small industries and caters exclusively to industrialists,” Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi stated, further emphasizing, “Our vision is to create products that are ‘Made in Bihar,’ not ‘Made in China.’”
Rahul Gandhi shared the stage with Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance, and Mukesh Sahani, leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).
Both leaders urged voters to “oust the NDA’s double-engine government,” accusing it of failing the poor and marginalized communities.
The Congress leader further claimed that negligence from the government has led to a decline in education and job opportunities in Bihar.
“Education has lost its significance in Bihar. Paper leaks have jeopardized the futures of diligent youth. Many Biharis are compelled to take loans and migrate for education and employment. You can find them struggling under the AIIMS flyover in Delhi,” Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi asserted.
He also reiterated the INDIA Bloc’s commitment to implement a nationwide caste census and to prioritize social justice if elected.
“We have called for a caste census, yet PM Modi and the BJP remain silent. They oppose social justice. Nitish Kumar is merely a puppet of the BJP,” he remarked.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi concluded his address by encouraging the people of Bihar to vote for transformation.
“The time has come to replace this government. We will establish a government that represents every caste and religion — a government for all Indians. This is the pledge of the Grand Alliance,” Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi promised, vowing to create one of India’s premier universities in Bihar within five years.
