Surender was taken into custody in Farukhnagar on Monday, while Sumit was captured in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
Currently, a total of five individuals have been detained regarding this incident.
As per the police report, the victim informed authorities that on January 10, he was located near the Consent Mall in Gurugram's Sector-109.
During this time, an individual approached the victim, entered his car, and claimed to be part of the car loan recovery team, stating that his accomplices were in another vehicle. This person demanded Rs 10,000 for a settlement. When the victim declined, he was slapped and coerced into admitting that his car payments were overdue, leading him to surrender his vehicle.
Subsequently, the accused threatened the victim over the phone and secured a transfer of Rs 50,000 from him on January 30 and 31.
Despite the payment, the suspects failed to return the car, continually inventing excuses.
The assailants stole the victim's vehicle and extorted money through threats.
Upon receiving the complaint, an official case was lodged under pertinent sections at the Bajghera police station in Gurugram.
A police team, led by Inspector Sunil Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bajghera police station, swiftly nabbed the culprits.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the suspects and their associates operated an application that enabled them to access comprehensive details, including loan information and outstanding payments related to the vehicle.
"The accused searched for vehicles with overdue payments and presented themselves as loan recovery department representatives to the vehicle owners, subsequently robbing them and extracting funds through intimidation," stated SHO Sunil Kumar.
For additional inquiries and recovery efforts, the suspects will be presented in court and placed under police custody, Kumar further mentioned.
