Gurugram, Jan 22 (NationPress) A dedicated team from the Gurugram Police's crime branch has apprehended seven individuals for their alleged involvement in a plot to rob a company, according to police reports.
The authorities seized one pistol, one live cartridge, one motorcycle, one auto rickshaw, one hammer, one iron cutting blade, and a variety of other tools from the suspects.
The accused have been named as Rikun, Sonu, Rinku alias Kalu, Rajender Kumar, Badal, Nanak Chand, and Reshampal alias Golu, all hailing from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
According to police sources, a team from the crime branch in Manesar received a tip-off on Monday regarding a planned robbery at a prominent company in the Manesar locality.
Acting swiftly on this information, the police unit arrived at Pataudi Road Sector-11 in Manesar, Gurugram, where they detained the suspects along with the illegal firearms.
A case has been filed at the Sector-7 IMT Manesar police station under pertinent sections of the BNS.
“The suspects will undergo comprehensive interrogation regarding other offenses, and we will scrutinize their criminal backgrounds,” stated Sandeep Kumar, the spokesperson for Gurugram Police.
Previously, on January 17, Gurugram Police had arrested five individuals for allegedly plotting to conduct a robbery in Gurugram.
The arrested were identified as Shiv Kumar from Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Aman from Alwar (Rajasthan), and Ishub, Shaukeen alias Dhanni, and Vishnu alias Billi, all residents of Gurugram.
From their possession, the police recovered one pistol, one live cartridge, one iron rod, one torch, and one stick.
Additionally, a crime branch team had previously detained three robbers on January 5 for allegedly planning a robbery in Gurugram, recovering one illegal pistol, two live cartridges, one iron rod, seven bikes, and one torch from them. The suspects were identified as Ishtiyak Shakeel from Nuh and Momin from Palwal.
