Patna, Feb 25 (NationPress) Former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain criticized opposition leaders for their attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his rally in Bhagalpur.
"The opposition is frustrated by the overwhelming public backing for PM Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in my home area of Bhagalpur," Hussain stated.
He emphasized PM Modi's contributions to Bihar, noting: "The Prime Minister has established Vikramshila University, allocated significant funds, developed a powerhouse, and initiated road projects. Bihar is experiencing ongoing growth with the support of the Central Government, and this trend will persist," he remarked.
He underscored the political significance of Bihar, asserting, "Whenever the Prime Minister visits Bihar, the President follows suit the next day. This underscores Bihar's status on the national stage."
Additionally, he mentioned that the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections will occur under Nitish Kumar's guidance.
"The elections will be led by Nitish Kumar, who will once again be cherished as Bihar's beloved Chief Minister," he added.
Responding to Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav's claim that the Prime Minister referred to Nitish Kumar as his son, Hussain declared, "Nitish Kumar is the most adored son of Bihar."
Meanwhile, Pappu Yadav criticized PM Modi's visit to Bihar, alleging he came, insulted the state, and departed.
"PM Modi did not offer any substantive remarks on Bihar's future. The BJP cannot rise to power in Bihar without Nitish Kumar, not even in seven lifetimes. PM Modi previously disrespected Bihar's essence, and now he affectionately calls Nitish Kumar his own. This is sheer hypocrisy," Pappu Yadav stated.
BJP leader Hussain also condemned RJD Chief Lalu Prasad for his criticisms of PM Modi.
Hussain's remarks followed Lalu's labeling of PM Modi's promises as insincere.
"Lalu Prasad has been making empty pledges for years. What has he delivered? All he has brought to Bihar is Jungle Raj," Hussain asserted.
As political tensions rise, the alliance between CM Nitish and the BJP remains a pivotal topic ahead of the 2025 state Assembly elections.
