Patna, Oct 21 (NationPress) In a bid to strengthen his party's position for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a significant public rally in Minapur, Muzaffarpur, showcasing the accomplishments of his administration while launching a fierce critique against opposition parties.
Kumar emphasized the achievements of his government, stating that since taking office, the rule of law has been firmly reestablished in Bihar.
“In the past, residents feared stepping out of their homes after dark. Today, peace and harmony thrive across the state,” he asserted.
Reflecting on past communal unrest and temple thefts during previous administrations, he remarked, “There were constant conflicts between Hindus and Muslims, and temple thefts were rampant. Such incidents have become history now.”
On the development front, Nitish Kumar declared that his government has generated over 40 lakh jobs to date, aiming to create 1 crore new jobs in the next five years.
“We have achieved remarkable progress in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment. Every village is now connected by roads, hospital facilities have improved, and opportunities for youth have expanded,” he noted.
He criticized the opposition for their past failures to serve the people.
“Those who governed before us did nothing for Bihar. They only remember the populace during election season,” the Chief Minister claimed.
The rally drew a substantial crowd, with frequent applause interrupting his speech — a testament, according to party leaders, to the public’s approval of the government’s initiatives.
A notable incident at the event occurred when Kumar attempted to garland party candidates in his customary manner. A senior JD(U) leader interrupted him before he could garland a female candidate, which visibly annoyed the Chief Minister. He commented, “He is an amazing man; holds his hands,” before continuing with the garlanding himself.
A video capturing this moment quickly circulated on social media, eliciting responses from the opposition.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav shared the clip on his official account, questioning Kumar’s health.
“If the Chief Minister is healthy, why is he reading from a scripted speech and acting out like this?” Tejashwi remarked, intensifying the ongoing political exchange.
