Kolkata, March 10 (NationPress) An elderly man was detained on allegations of raping a woman from Delhi at a hotel in south Kolkata last week, as reported by the police on Monday.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, who hails from New Delhi but is currently in Kolkata for work at a bar-cum-restaurant, she was invited to the hotel room by the accused on the evening of March 7 under the pretense of offering her a job.
The victim alleged that the accused, who is an elderly man, portrayed himself as a businessman.
The suspect resides in Bhawanipur, which is under the jurisdiction of the same police station responsible for the area where the hotel is situated.
