Hyderabad, March 23 (NationPress) K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), issued a strong warning on Sunday to police officers who have been harassing BRS workers, asserting that they will face consequences once the party regains power in Telangana.

During a gathering of BRS supporters in Karimnagar, the former minister criticized the Congress government, claiming that under its leadership, Telangana has devolved into a police state. He remarked that the term 'Indiramma Rajyam' signifies a regime of oppression.

KTR expressed confidence that the BRS will return to power and cautioned police officers who mistreat party members.

“Even if they retire and escape abroad, we will track them down and settle all scores. There’s no chance of us remaining silent. This was one reckoning before; now, it’s a fresh reckoning,” the former minister stated.

Popularly referred to as KTR, he also commented that a thief occupies the Chief Minister’s office. He pointed out that the defeat of BRS was not due to any fault of the people, but rather because hatred was sown against KCR to sway public opinion.

He asserted that it is historically imperative for BRS to win again for the benefit of Telangana’s citizens. He urged party workers to gather in large numbers for the public meeting in Warangal on April 27 to silence detractors claiming BRS is finished.

KTR highlighted that BRS and KCR share a deep emotional connection with Karimnagar, and it is widely believed that any initiative launched from this location tends to succeed.

He reminisced about the first public meeting, “Simhagarjana,” held in Karimnagar on May 17, 2001, which revitalized the Telangana movement after the formation of TRS (now BRS).

According to KTR, for the past 15 months, BRS has been demonstrating how a true opposition should operate, putting pressure on the ruling party.

He declared that both BJP and Congress are two sides of the same coin and are detrimental to the interests of Telangana. “Modi pledged to deposit Rs 15 lakh into Jan Dhan accounts but deceived the public. He promised to create two crore jobs annually, yet in 11 years, nothing has materialized. In its 1998 Kakinada resolution, BJP spoke of 'one vote, two states,' but failed to deliver Telangana once in power. Congress has betrayed Telangana from the very start. Tears are evident in the eyes of farmers throughout Telangana,” KTR remarked.

KTR noted that citizens are expressing that life was better during KCR’s tenure, whereas it has become intolerable since Congress assumed control. “Crops are withering across Telangana. Without Rythu Bandhu, farmers are struggling. Lacking loan waivers, they are exhausting their energy running to banks. They now recall KCR. Whenever anyone faces difficulties in the state, they think of KCR,” he stated.

KTR accused the Modi government of planning to inflict significant injustice on southern states, which have adhered to family planning as per the Government of India’s recommendations through delimitation. “Modi claims that MP seats will be decreased in areas with declining populations while increasing them in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, where populations are higher, thus threatening us with delimitation,” he explained.

In a scathing critique of Union Minister of State for Home and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, KTR pointed out that when constituents inquire about what PM Modi has accomplished for Telangana, he is left speechless.
