Ludhiana, Oct 22 (NationPress) Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond emphasized that Lord Vishwakarma is recognized for his pivotal role in the creation of craft, architecture, and engineering.

During a state-level celebration at Lord Vishwakarma Mandir to mark Vishwakarma Day, Sond expressed that the global progress in industry and infrastructure can be attributed to the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma.

He elaborated that the state government is committed to empowering the youth through skill development, ensuring they can live with dignity and respect, reflecting the values and teachings of Lord Vishwakarma.

“Lord Vishwakarma is honored as the ultimate architect of the universe, recognized as the master of all tools and machinery utilized in industrial activities,” he stated.

Sond encouraged the audience to embrace the teachings of Lord Vishwakarma, asserting that promoting skill development across the state would be a meaningful tribute to him.

The minister outlined transformative government efforts in education and healthcare, ensuring that top-quality services are available to all.

He pointed out that 55,000 government positions have been transparently filled for the youth, 90% of residents enjoy zero electricity bills, and every one of the 13,246 villages in Punjab will soon have access to 3,100 premier playgrounds.

Sond also commended the state’s notable contributions to national security, highlighting that Punjab, despite representing only 1.5% of India’s population, leads in sacrifices for the nation’s safety.

Moreover, he praised the efficacy of the anti-drug initiative Yudh Nasha Virudh.

Temple committee president Ranjit Kumar Salh requested state assistance to complete outstanding civil projects at the temple, to which Sond responded with a grant of Rs 10 lakh and a commitment to support the completion of the pending works.

He also distributed sewing machines to underprivileged women.
