Patna, Oct 19 (NationPress) In a shocking development as the Bihar Assembly elections approach, former RJD candidate Madan Shah broke down emotionally outside the home of party leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday, accusing the party of corruption and betrayal regarding ticket allocation.

In a conversation with IANS, Shah stated that he had been promised a ticket by Lalu Prasad Yadav to run for the Madhuban Assembly constituency in Motihari.

However, he alleged that RJD leader Sanjay Yadav demanded Rs 2.7 crore in return for the ticket, which was ultimately awarded to another candidate after he declined to pay.

"I hail from a highly educated family with 10 doctors. Since 1990, I have been dedicated to Lalu Yadav's party. We have been treated unjustly. Tejashwi Yadav did not grant me a ticket. Tickets were sold for Rs 2.70 crore. Sanjay Yadav demanded this amount, and when I refused, the ticket was given to someone else," Shah lamented.

In a display of his distress, Shah ripped his clothes and lay on the road outside Rabri Devi's residence, seeking an audience with Lalu Prasad Yadav. The Madhuban ticket was eventually awarded to Santosh Kushwaha.

Another emotional RJD supporter, Usha Devi, also shared her disappointment at being overlooked for a ticket from the Barachatti Assembly seat.

"Since 2016, I have been part of the Panchayat Committee and have actively supported the Rashtriya Janata Dal since 2005, campaigning across Bihar. I feel misled because I was assured a ticket, but it wasn't provided. I was to contest from Barachatti, yet it went to Samta Devi, who has lost twice from there," she recounted to IANS.

Usha asserted that Lalu Prasad had personally promised her a ticket, but it ultimately went to someone else. "I was called to Ranchi and told, 'Usha, you will get the ticket.' I have come to Rabri's residence, yet no one is available to speak with me. I will return home to campaign for Tejashwi Yadav because he must become Chief Minister. Regardless of my fate, I will uphold the party's banner for life," she added.

Voting for the Bihar Assembly elections is scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14.

As the campaign heats up, internal conflicts within the Mahagathbandhan have escalated, with both RJD and Congress facing challenges in finalizing seat agreements.

While RJD is firm on offering around 58 seats, Congress insists on contesting more than 60, ideally aiming for 65, citing its national status.
