In discussing the DGsP/IGsP conference, DGP Singh focused on priority areas such as enhancing law and order, counter-terrorism, Left-Wing Extremism, NCORD (Narco Coordination Centre), disaster management, civil defence, improved forensic use, women's safety, managing mass protests, and strategies for repatriating Indian fugitives.
DGP Singh also presented insights from discussions led by Prime Minister Modi regarding a 'Drug-Free India' and by Home Minister Shah about national security.
Reaffirming the nation’s dedication to achieving a drug-free society, the Governor reiterated the need for the police force to enhance surveillance utilizing advanced technologies, including drones and artificial intelligence.
He again highlighted the necessity for hands-on training and capacity building of police personnel.
This conference was attended by Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Home) N. Ashok Kumar, Additional Directors General of Police, Inspector Generals of Police, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, and Superintendents of Police from all 16 districts of Manipur.
The 60th All India Conference of DGs and IGs occurred in Chhattisgarh's capital on November 28-30, with Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Shah, and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval participating in crucial discussions on internal security and emerging threats.
