Mohan Babu Files Police Complaint Against Son Manoj, Requests Security

Hyderabad, Dec 9 (NationPress) The ongoing family property conflict involving veteran Tollywood actor Mohan Babu took a significant turn when he approached the police regarding his son Manchu Manoj, requesting police protection. This development occurred just hours after Manoj reported that unidentified assailants had attacked him on Sunday.

Mohan Babu made his complaint to the Rachakonda Commissioner, alleging that his younger son Manoj, along with certain anti-social elements he allegedly hired, caused a disturbance at his residence, ‘Manchu Town’, located in Jalpally, Rangareddy district.

The senior actor expressed concerns for his safety and property, stating there was a threat from Manoj, his wife, and the hired individuals.

On Monday, Mohan Babu reported observing unfamiliar individuals stationed near his residence. Furthermore, an employee from his office in Madhapur informed him that around 30 people claiming to be associates of Manoj had trespassed onto his property.

“They threatened my staff with severe repercussions, forcibly evicted them from the premises, and declared that no one could enter the house without their consent,” Mohan Babu, a former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, noted.

He alleged that these individuals had illegally occupied his home at the behest of Manoj and Mounika.

“I have serious fears for my safety, my belongings, and my property. I have been alerted that these individuals are awaiting my return with the intention to harm me and instill fear, coercing me to permanently vacate my residence,” he stated in his complaint.

The veteran actor emphasized that he is a senior citizen, approximately 78 years old, and that “their actions, supported by hired individuals, pose a significant threat to my life and property.”

Mohan Babu called for legal action against Manoj, Monika, and their associates, urging the police to remove them from his property.

“I request adequate protection to ensure my safety and to allow me to access my residence without fear,” said the veteran actor, who manages a network of educational institutions, including Mohan Babu University.

Earlier, Manchu Manoj had also filed a complaint with the police, but he did not name his father or any family member.

In his report to the Pahadi Shareef Police Station, he claimed that about 10 unidentified assailants had attacked him at his home in Jalpally. He mentioned two individuals who took away the CCTV footage related to the incident.

The police confirmed they recorded Manoj's statement based on his complaint and initiated an investigation.

On Sunday, Manoj visited a hospital in Banjara Hills for treatment of his injuries amid reports of a confrontation with his father. After receiving medical attention, he returned home. According to the medico-legal record, he sustained multiple injuries to his neck, right thigh, and abdomen.

Both Manoj and Mohan Babu have reportedly filed complaints against each other, contacting the police via dial 100. The authorities advised them to submit written complaints.

On Monday, Manoj personally visited the Pahadi Shareef Police Station and lodged a formal complaint, providing the medico-legal record to the Station House Officer.
