Hyderabad, Dec 11 (NationPress) Veteran Tollywood actor M. Mohan Babu along with his actor son Manchu Manoj, engaged in a significant family dispute, did not attend the summons issued by Rachakonda Police Commissioner on Wednesday.
Mohan Babu’s older son and actor Manchu Vishnu also failed to show up.
Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu had called for Mohan Babu and his sons to discuss the cases filed against them concerning incidents that occurred at their family residence in Jalpally.
They were instructed to appear in person at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday to explain why they shouldn’t be mandated to enter into a bond of Rs. 1 lakh to maintain peace for one year.
The notices served to Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, and Manchu Manoj indicated that they have been charged under BNS Sections 329 (4) (criminal trespass and house trespass) and 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt) r/w 3 (5).
Mohan Babu, who reportedly fell ill on Tuesday night, is currently hospitalized in Gachibowli.
The 78-year-old, a former Member of Parliament, is said to be suffering from high blood pressure.
Mohan Babu has also filed a petition in the Telangana High Court contesting the notice issued by the Rachakonda Police Commissioner.
Manchu Manoj informed the press that he will request additional time to appear before the Police Commissioner, stating that he sustained injuries during an altercation at the family residence in Jalpally last night.
Manoj reportedly broke the gate to enter the property after an argument with bouncers stationed there. Following his intrusion, he was allegedly assaulted.
Previously, Manoj had filed a complaint alleging that approximately 10 individuals attacked him at their residence on Sunday.
The young actor emphasized that his struggle is not about property, as he does not depend on his family. He asserted his fight is for the "truth".
Declaring that his father is akin to a God to him, Manoj accused his brother Manchu Vishnu and his associate Vinay of deceiving their father and portraying him as an adversary.
Mohan Babu released a video late Tuesday asserting that Manoj has no right to enter his residence and that he will determine whether to distribute the property among his three children or donate it.
