Hyderabad, Dec 11 (NationPress) In the midst of a tumultuous family dispute concerning veteran Tollywood actor M. Mohan Babu, his sons, Manchu Vishnu and Manchu Manoj, appeared separately before Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu on Wednesday, responding to the notice they received. Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court has granted relief to Mohan Babu until December 24.
The brothers submitted an assurance to the Commissioner indicating that they would refrain from actions that could incite violence or escalate the situation.
The Commissioner specifically instructed Vishnu not to engage bouncers that could potentially heighten tensions. He cautioned that legal repercussions would follow if incidents similar to those that occurred on Tuesday were repeated.
Vishnu, who returned from abroad on Tuesday, updated the Commissioner on the events that transpired at their family residence in Jalpally.
Previously, Manoj, who has been embroiled in a serious dispute with his father, appeared before the Commissioner and assured him through a bond that he would not disturb the peace.
Mohan Babu, who is currently hospitalized following the altercation at his home, did not attend the meeting with the Commissioner.
He has filed a challenge in the Telangana High Court against the notice issued by the Commissioner.
The court has allowed him to be exempt from appearing until December 24. Commissioner Sudheer Babu, who also serves as the Additional District Collector, summoned Mohan Babu and his sons for a discussion regarding the charges filed against them stemming from the incidents at their Jalpally residence.
They were instructed to appear in person on Wednesday to explain why they should not be required to enter into a bond of Rs 1 lakh to maintain peace for one year.
The notices issued to Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, and Manchu Manoj indicate that they face charges under BNS sections 329 (4) (criminal trespass and house trespass) and 115 (2) (voluntarily causing hurt) r/w 3 (5).
Mohan Babu continues to be hospitalized in Gachibowli. The 78-year-old, also a former Member of Parliament, was admitted due to high blood pressure and anxiety following emotional distress.
Doctors discovered a blunt injury beneath his eye. Manoj reportedly broke through the gate during a confrontation with bouncers on the premises. After forcibly entering the house, he claimed he was physically attacked. Earlier, Manoj had filed a police complaint stating that he was assaulted by approximately ten individuals at the residence on Sunday.
The young actor asserted that his struggle is not about inheritance, as he does not depend on his family. He emphasized that he fights for the truth. Describing his father as a god-like figure, Manoj accused his brother Manchu Vishnu and his associate Vinay of misleading their father and portraying him as an adversary.
In the meantime, police have apprehended Vinay, who was named by Manoj in his complaint, and are actively searching for other suspects involved in the case.
