He has requested their backing for the 'Nari Shakti Vandan' Constitution Amendment Bill, which is designed to implement a 33 percent reservation for women beginning with the elections in 2029.

The national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) emphasized that he has appealed for their assistance in reinforcing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to ensuring one-third of seats for women in legislative bodies.

Naidu articulated that the introduction of the Women's Reservation Amendment Bill in Parliament on April 16 will mark a significant milestone in Indian democracy.

He believes that the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' will not only empower women but also propel the nation forward.

The Chief Minister sent letters to various leaders, including Jana Sena president K. Pawan Kalyan, BJP state President P.V.N. Madhav, YSR Congress President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, state Congress President Y.S. Sharmila Reddy, CPI state Secretary G. Eswaraiah, and CPI(M) state secretary V. Srinivasa Rao.

In his correspondence, CM Naidu noted that with the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' approaching Parliament, a long-held dream is finally materializing. This represents a monumental progress towards achieving equality and establishing a lasting legacy for India’s democracy.

“The allocation of one-third of legislative seats to women—an unprecedented move globally—is a moment that fills every Indian with immense pride. Witnessing our aspirations for women's empowerment take tangible form is truly rewarding,” the letter stated.

The TDP chief expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the citizens, particularly the women of Andhra Pradesh.

“I have always firmly believed that genuine progress is only achievable when women are significantly involved in government, administration, and legislative bodies. The advancement of society is deeply connected to ensuring that women receive their rightful recognition. I firmly assert that women must be integral to the growth of both the state and the nation. The remarkable contributions women are making in various fields, including education, healthcare, research, technology, sports, defense, industry, commerce, and services, are truly extraordinary. Through their hard work and unwavering dedication, women are proving their capabilities in every sector,” he wrote.

“I pen this letter with a profound sense of duty, on behalf of our daughters, to call for a unified voice advocating for women's reservations. It is essential that all political parties and Members of Parliament lend their support to this vital cause. Let us view it as a privilege—a fortunate opportunity—to honor the women in our homes and across our nation. Let us ensure that no one misses the chance to be part of this significant moment. I earnestly appeal for comprehensive support in enacting the legislation that guarantees women one-third representation in our legislative bodies,” he stated.

“This legislation transcends political affiliations; it relates to the dignity and honor of our nation.
