Agartala, March 17 (NationPress) Tripura's Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Ratan Lal Nath, emphasized on Tuesday that the Governor's address in the Assembly embodies a robust commitment to democratic governance, development, and people-centric policies. He called for a united effort to achieve a “Viksit Tripura.”
During the ongoing discussion in the Tripura Legislative Assembly regarding the Governor’s address, Nath commended Governor Indrasena Reddy's speech as a constitutional representation of governance and a detailed plan for the state's advancement.
“The Governor’s remarks are more than a formal address; they serve as a blueprint for development, progress, and welfare initiatives. They underline the ongoing work led by Chief Minister Manik Saha,” Nath remarked.
He also praised the Governor for delivering the address in both Bengali and the tribal Kokborok language, which he deemed a noteworthy and inclusive act.
Nath noted that the address encompassed all segments of society, including SCs, STs, journalists, artists, and marginalized communities, showcasing the essence of inclusive development.
In a broader national perspective, the Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for facilitating rapid development across the nation.
“India has ascended to become the fourth-largest economy and is on its way to being the third-largest, gaining global acknowledgment for its growth trajectory,” he stated.
Nath, who is the second-highest-ranking minister after the Chief Minister, highlighted significant national programs like infrastructure expansion, agricultural development, and renewable energy initiatives, such as the National Solar Mission, as vital to this progress.
Reinforcing the state government’s dedication, he mentioned that efforts are underway to connect with every community and provide welfare for all.
The Minister also sharply criticized the Communist Party of India (Marxist), asserting that the party has lost its public backing.
He compared the CPI (M) to “a Rs 10 coin that has been rejected by the populace,” questioning its ideological position.
Calling for collective unity, Nath urged the citizens to collaborate in transforming Tripura into a developed state, reiterating the government’s vision of a “Viksit Tripura.”
