New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) Congress MP Tariq Anwar referred to the recent meeting as the "Prime Minister's responsibility" following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's important discussion with Chief Ministers from across the nation about the repercussions of the ongoing conflict in West Asia on India's economy. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha criticized PM Modi's reference to 'Team India' during this gathering.

On Friday, the Prime Minister conducted a video conference with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors to assess India's readiness in response to the shifting dynamics in West Asia and its possible effects on the economy, energy security, and supply chains.

In an interview with IANS, Anwar stated, "It is the Prime Minister’s obligation to inform all Chief Ministers and political entities while also reassuring the populace. At the very least, the Prime Minister has recognized that a crisis exists in the nation, contrary to previous claims of normalcy."

He further noted, "This indicates that the situation is far from normal, and it's crucial to take control of it."

RJD MP Manoj Jha humorously remarked on PM Modi's assertion during the meeting that India would tackle the challenges as a "Team India".

He expressed, "I was quite pleased. The term 'India' was mentioned after a long time; since the formation of the INDIA alliance, the BJP seemed to have shied away from using it. This is indeed a source of joy."

However, Jha emphasized the necessity for practical implementation of this idea.

"When Prime Minister Modi speaks of working as 'Team India', it should be actualized on the ground. With elections approaching, we must ensure that electoral politics does not disrupt the unity being discussed," Jha told IANS.

In the meantime, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) commended PM Modi's leadership in navigating the effects of the West Asia crisis on India.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and BJP leader Vishnu Deo Sai stated, "The conflict in West Asia is impacting not only our nation but the global landscape. We are fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi, who can convert crises into opportunities."

Chief Minister Deo Sai also mentioned, "He (PM Modi) has assured us that there will be no shortages of oil or gas. Continuous monitoring and teamwork are essential."

BJP leader T.R. Sriniwas informed IANS, "The Prime Minister emphasized that we will confront the West Asia conflict as 'Team India', with all states collaborating—regardless of whether they are BJP or non-BJP governed. This is necessary as the entire nation is facing challenges with gas and fuel supply. He assured us that we will prevent any issues for the public."

Sriniwas also conveyed that PM Modi has urged all Chief Ministers to take stringent measures against any hoarding of essential goods.
