Jaipur, May 16 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Rajasthan on May 22, marking his first visit since Operation Sindoor. The India-Pakistan border is situated around 200 kilometers from Deshnok.
During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army successfully dismantled numerous terrorist hideouts across the border in Pakistan. This visit by PM Modi comes at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are beginning to subside.
Following a ceasefire agreement, the relations between the two countries have started to normalize.
On May 22, the Prime Minister will digitally inaugurate several railway stations nationwide under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including one in Deshnok.
He will also engage with the public during this significant event.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will be accompanying him.
On May 17, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and other central and state ministers will visit Bikaner to finalize arrangements.
Preparations began on Thursday after the Prime Minister's Office notified the district administration about PM Modi's visit.
As part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, two advanced railway stations, Dabwali and Gogamedi, have been established in the Bikaner division.
The development of Bikaner’s Lalgarh station is nearing completion, and the construction of Deshnok railway station in the Jodhpur division has been finished.
Officials indicate that 22 stations in the Bikaner division are undergoing reconstruction under this scheme.
Interestingly, despite the ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan, a drone was detected on Thursday morning in village 12A of Anupgarh, located in the Sri Ganganagar district.
With the peace agreement in place, the temporary security post has been dismantled, allowing for a resurgence in tourist activity, which includes the BSF conducting a special puja and aarti at the Tanot Mata Temple.
