Ambedkar's 135th birth anniversary, Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, unveiled a significant initiative aimed at advancing digital education and social empowerment. This plan includes the establishment of 200 Ambedkar E-Libraries in urban areas throughout the state.
During a state-level event in Jaipur, the Chief Minister expressed that this initiative is designed to enhance access to knowledge and digital resources, particularly for marginalized and underserved communities, aligning with Baba Saheb's vision of social justice and equality.
Additionally, he announced the creation of an Ambedkar Residential Coaching Centre at Ambedkar Peeth in Mundla (Jaipur) to assist students preparing for competitive exams.
Sharma reiterated the government's commitment to uplifting the most disadvantaged by ensuring fair access to education and opportunities.
Inspired by Ambedkar’s principles, he stated that the state is committed to the philosophy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas, which emphasizes inclusive growth and empowerment.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, welfare programs are successfully reaching marginalized groups, thereby facilitating their socio-economic development.
The anticipated Ambedkar E-Libraries are expected to become modern knowledge centers, offering students and youth access to digital learning tools, online study materials, and career resources.
The residential coaching center in Mundla will further bolster academic support for aspirants from disadvantaged backgrounds.
During this event, the Chief Minister also executed a Direct Benefit Transfer of Rs 1,363 crore to beneficiaries of pension schemes and the Palanhar Yojana.
He inaugurated 10 hostel buildings, laid the groundwork for 17 additional ones, and virtually opened a library at the ‘Swayamsiddha’ complex in Jamdoli.
An AI-driven project, ‘Help Desk Samadhan Saathi,’ was introduced. Moreover, assistive devices were distributed to Divyangjan, financial support was provided under the Kanyadan Yojana, and meritorious students under the Chief Minister Anupreti Coaching Scheme were honored.
Sharma noted advancements in education and welfare programs, pointing out significant financial backing for students in post-matric scholarship initiatives for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Most Backward Classes.
He reaffirmed that the government is focused on comprehensive development through the ethos of Antyodaya.
Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Avinash Gehlot, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the government’s dedication to realizing Ambedkar’s vision through effective social security and welfare initiatives.
The gathering included Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, along with various ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior officials.
