Upon arriving from New Delhi, the Union Minister joined Chief Minister Yadav for an aerial assessment of the flood-impacted villages within his Lok Sabha constituency of Guna. He stated, "A true leader is one who safeguards every individual and all living beings during challenging times."
"I would contact Mohan ji (Chief Minister) every four hours to evaluate the circumstances in Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar, and I consistently received prompt responses from him. This exemplifies effective leadership. Today, we are conducting evaluations to determine the extent of the flood damage," added Union Minister Scindia.
Following the aerial survey, both Union Minister Scindia and Chief Minister Yadav visited the relief camps established in Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, and Guna districts.
During a conversation with flood victims in Guna, the Union Minister reassured them that both the Central and state governments are dedicated to assisting them.
"I empathize with your suffering at this time, and I assure you that the BJP government is here for you. We will assess the losses during the survey and provide adequate compensation from both the Central and state governments," Scindia stated during a meeting with flood-affected individuals in a village in Guna.
Moreover, Union Minister Scindia expressed his appreciation to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their crucial support, which included deploying armed forces and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), enabling the successful rescue of over 3,000 individuals stranded in flood-affected areas across Ashoknagar, Guna, and Shivpuri districts last week.
"I am grateful to our Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their assistance in rescuing individuals from Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashoknagar districts when all road connections were severed and people were trapped in the floods," Scindia remarked.
