New Delhi, Feb 20 (NationPress) As he prepares to take the oath as a Minister in Delhi, MLA-elect Manjinder Singh Sirsa expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the esteemed leadership of the BJP for recognizing the Sikh community, which had been overlooked by the former AAP administration.

"...I have received the chance to serve as a minister in Delhi. I appreciate the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and Jagat Prakash Nadda... I am particularly thankful that after a span of 12 years, our leadership has restored the role of a Sikh Minister, lost due to AAP's governance..."

He mentioned that he has been appointed to the team designed to realize PM Modi's vision for Delhi.

"They have provided me with this opportunity to act as a Minister. I express my thanks for this. It’s a chance for all of us to collaborate in making Delhi splendid once again..." Sirsa remarked.

Sirsa will join five other ministers taking the oath alongside Chief Minister-designate Rekha Gupta at a significant ceremony in Ramlila Maidan on Thursday.

Sirsa triumphed in the Rajouri Garden Assembly seat, defeating AAP's Dhanwati Chandela by a margin of 18,190 votes. Sirsa garnered 64,132 votes while Chandela received 45,942 votes.

Other ministers set to take an oath include Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh.

According to the notification, these individuals have been appointed as Ministers in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, effective from the date of their swearing-in.

The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be a prestigious event, featuring the presence of Prime Minister Modi, the Union Cabinet, and Chief Ministers from various states.

Delhi CM-designate Rekha Gupta expressed her appreciation to Prime Minister Modi and the party leadership for their confidence in her, stating, "I will strive to meet his expectations."
