Hyderabad, Sep 19 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy have reached an agreement to collaborate in various sectors including software, technology, life sciences, urban transit, and film industries.
The discussion took place during the 12th annual conference of the Public Affairs Forum of India in New Delhi on Friday.
As per the updates from the Chief Minister’s Office, the leaders decided to establish a structured partnership and bilateral exchanges in software, technology, life sciences, urban transit, and films.
Supporting the vision of Telangana Rising led by CM Revanth Reddy, Governor Murphy noted, “There are numerous parallels between New Jersey and Telangana. Together, we can significantly impact each other’s economies.”
The leaders pledged to actively send trade delegations to each other's states, enhancing investments to maximize opportunities for wealth and job creation.
Governor Murphy also committed to strengthening Hyderabad's urban and public transport systems through the NJ Trains Authority. “From Metro to MMTS, Hyderabad's public transport has greatly benefited from the support of the New Jersey government. I appreciate Governor Murphy for this collaboration,” stated CM Revanth Reddy.
Inviting esteemed educational institutions from New Jersey, such as NJIT, Princeton, and Rutgers, CM Reddy assured them of full assistance to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad.
The two officials also agreed to support and promote tourism in the film industry.
CM Revanth Reddy later shared on X that they addressed topics including education, green energy, the Musi Riverfront Development Project, and other relevant subjects.
“We shared the Telangana Vision 2047... discussing our government’s plans and initiatives. I explained the achievements and priorities of Telangana in the IT and pharmaceutical sectors,” he expressed.
The meeting was also attended by Governor Murphy’s wife, along with representatives from New Jersey.
