Sanaa, April 2 (NationPress) At least three individuals lost their lives in recent US airstrikes targeting Yemen's western province of Hodeidah, according to reports from Houthi media and local residents.

The attacks on Tuesday night specifically struck a water project and its facility in the Mansouria district of central Hodeidah.

Local inhabitants informed Xinhua that efforts to find potential survivors amidst the debris are currently ongoing.

As reported by Houthi media, the US military also executed a series of airstrikes across various sites in the northwestern provinces of Hajjah and Saada, as noted by the Xinhua news agency.

Earlier that day, Houthi sources indicated the commencement of a new series of US airstrikes on several targets in northern Yemen, including Mount Nabi Shu'ayb in the Bani Matar district, located to the west of the capital, Sanaa, as well as locations in Saada province. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The US military has remained silent regarding these airstrikes.

The Iran-aligned Houthis, who dominate much of northern Yemen, have been in conflict with the internationally recognized government since 2014.

Since March 15, the US military has resumed airstrikes on areas controlled by the Houthis in northern Yemen, aiming to prevent the group from targeting Israeli interests, the US Navy, and international shipping routes in the region.

Last week, US President Donald Trump stated that US airstrikes against the Houthis would persist for an extended period.

On Tuesday, the Houthi group reported that US forces had conducted 22 airstrikes on its positions in Yemen's northern Sanaa and Saada provinces within a few hours.

According to a brief announcement aired by the Houthi-operated al-Masirah TV, five airstrikes at dawn targeted the Jarban region in the Sanhan district, southeast of Sanaa, while two others affected the Bani Matar district to the west of the capital.

The announcement further revealed that Saada, a stronghold of the group, experienced 15 US airstrikes overnight, although specific targeted locations were not disclosed.
