Bhopal, May 2 (NationPress) Three individuals tragically lost their lives and five others sustained injuries in two distinct road incidents in Badnagar, located in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh.
In the first incident, two motorcyclists perished when their bike collided with a dumper in Kajlana village, within the jurisdiction of the Badnagar police station.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a monetary compensation of Rs 2 lakh for each of the deceased's families.
Additionally, two individuals suffered serious injuries in this tragic event.
The unfortunate incident took place on Thursday.
Following a post-mortem examination, the bodies were returned to the deceased's families, while the injured continue to receive necessary medical attention, as stated by Mahendra Singh Parmar, State Divisional Officer (police) of Badnagar, to IANS.
The victims have been identified as Amin Shah from Badnagar and Shiva Parmar from Bherupachalna.
Moreover, two individuals named Rajesh Chauhan, both hailing from Bherupachalna, were injured in the accident, the police official reported.
Expressing his condolences on his X account, Chief Minister Yadav remarked, "The heartbreaking news of the motorcycle accident in Kajlana village, Badnagar, Ujjain district, has plunged many into profound sorrow. Two lives were lost in this tragic occurrence, and financial aid of Rs 2 lakh each has been designated for their families from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund. During this challenging time, I pray to 'Baba Mahakal' (Lord Shiva) to bestow peace upon the departed souls and provide strength to their grieving families. I also wish for a swift recovery for those injured in the accident."
In a separate incident, an eight-year-old girl lost her life on Thursday evening on the Unhel-Nagda road after a speeding truck crashed into an auto-rickshaw.
This accident resulted in injuries to four family members of the victim, according to police reports.
The young girl was traveling with her mother, aunt, and brother Rohan to a wedding in Banbana village near Nagda.
They resided in Ravidas Nagar, Indore.
Her maternal uncle, Krishna, was operating the auto-rickshaw while following her father, Balram Ajnotia, who was ahead on a motorcycle, as per police accounts.
The family had paused for breakfast in Unhel prior to the accident.
The injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where unfortunately, the child succumbed to her injuries.
She was a fourth-grade student.
After her post-mortem, her body was returned to her family.
The driver of the truck fled the scene, and Unhel police are actively pursuing him.
