The advisory specifies that vehicles will not be permitted to approach Nishat, Shalimar, Harwan, and surrounding areas via Badyari Chowk and Gupkar on Thursday.
Additionally, traffic from Ram Munshibagh towards Hotel Grand Palace will be halted, with vehicles redirected towards Dalgate, Sangermal, and Ikhwan Chowk for further travel. During the restriction period, movement will also be prohibited on the Dalgate, Khayam, Khanyar, Rainawari, Saidkadal, and Hazratbal road segments.
Motorists planning to travel from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat, Ganderbal, and nearby areas to Lal Chowk are advised to take the Burzahama route via Chandpora, Tailbal, Zakoora, Malbagh, Illahibagh, and 90 Feet Road in either direction. Those journeying from Dalgate, Lal Chowk, and adjacent areas to Harwan, Shalimar, and Nishat are instructed to utilize the Sangermal, Ikhwan Chowk, Nowhatta, 90 Feet, and Malbagh routes.
Travelers heading to Srinagar Airport from Harwan, Shalimar, and Nishat will have access through Burzahama, Chandpora, Tailbal, Zakoora, Malbagh, Illahibagh, and 90 Feet Road. Vehicles coming from Panthachowk and Pandrethan towards R M Bagh will be allowed via Peaks Motors Nowgam and the Bypass.
Officials indicated that medical emergencies will be accommodated following appropriate verification. Citizens seeking assistance can reach out to the Traffic Police Control Room at 103.
In the meantime, V.K. Virdi, IGP (Kashmir), held a comprehensive security review meeting concerning the VVIP visit, instructing all security agencies to ensure that even the most minor details are addressed.
Three days prior to the Vice President's arrival, the location of the main event at the University of Kashmir underwent rigorous checks, sanitation, and sealing by security personnel.
Security forces have been deployed in adequate numbers throughout the university campus and along the route designated for the VVIP's travel.
