Tragic Incident: JEE Aspirant from Bihar Discovered Hanging in Kota

Jaipur, Dec 21 (NationPress) A tragic event occurred when a 16-year-old student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) was found hanging in his hostel room located in the Vigyan Nagar locality of Kota district in Rajasthan, according to police information released on Saturday.
The young boy, originally from Vaishali district in Bihar, had been staying at the Welcome Prime Hostel for the last eight months to focus on his studies.
When he failed to respond to repeated calls from his family, the hostel staff were alerted. They broke down the door to his room, only to discover him hanging.
No suicide note was located at the scene, as confirmed by officials.
Officer Mukesh Meena from Vigyan Nagar Police Station mentioned that the student seemed to be facing academic difficulties and had reportedly low attendance.
Initial investigations indicated that he might have been overwhelmed by the pressures of his studies. The boy maintained a close relationship with his father and grandfather, frequently communicating with them.
Additional SP Dilip Saini highlighted that the fan in the room was equipped with an anti-hanging device designed to deter suicide attempts.
The precise details surrounding the incident remain uncertain, with further clarity expected after discussions with the boy's family, who have arrived in Kota.
The post-mortem procedure is currently underway, and investigations are ongoing, Saini added.
"The family members reached out to the hostel operator around 10:30 p.m. when the boy did not answer their usual calls. Upon visiting the room, the hostel operator found the gate closed," Saini stated.
The staff subsequently forced open the door, with Saini adding, "Initial findings suggest that the child perceived himself as academically weak, a fact known to his family as well. His attendance was low, and he primarily communicated with his grandfather and father. Full understanding of the situation will emerge only after further inquiries are conducted."
