Indeed, the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 has emerged as a revolutionary platform, giving youth a significant voice in the political and policy-making landscape of the nation. This year's reimagined initiative is designed to link young people with governance, fostering profound discussions on essential national matters.

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person District Nodal Rounds were conducted, marking a pivotal moment in the event's history. Over 75,000 enthusiastic young participants from each state and union territory in India submitted video entries, demonstrating their enthusiasm for governance and commitment to nation-building. The entire selection process, which was entirely digital for the first time, was conducted via the MY Bharat portal, showcasing the tech-savvy and engaged nature of today’s youth.

In addition to the final national round, the Youth Parliament was organized through district nodal rounds and state rounds.

In the District Round, discussions centered on the crucial theme of ONOE, reaching every town and village across the country. These rounds took place in 300 district nodes, where young individuals presented their ideas with remarkable enthusiasm. To qualify for these rounds, candidates were required to upload a one-minute video addressing the question, "What does Viksit Bharat mean to you?"

The extensive media coverage surrounding these rounds further highlighted the youth's commitment to participating in national discussions.

In a groundbreaking move, state rounds were conducted in over 15 state Assemblies and other notable government buildings. Speakers and Governors from various states presided over the sessions, offering young participants a unique opportunity to interact directly with the country's political leadership. This initiative has helped bridge the gap between youth and governance, providing valuable insights into the political process.

The National Round now offers participants various enriching experiences, including a Masterclass led by a senior Member of Parliament, where they will acquire vital oratory skills and leadership techniques. Participants will gain first-hand experience of governance by attending sessions in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. They will also visit the Prime Minister's Museum (PM Sangrahalaya), learning about India's political journey and the narratives behind its leadership.

The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is not merely a programme; it is a movement. The ideas and discussions from this event will extend beyond the confines of Parliament, spreading across India and laying the foundation for a new wave of youth engagement and involvement in the nation’s progress.
