The report, derived from activity signals across millions of professionals on the platform, also identifies Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai as active hiring hubs where demand for human-AI hybrid skills is rising sharply.

Infosys Climbs to the Top

Leading the 2026 list is Infosys, which jumped from third rank last year to claim the top position. The report attributes this rise to the company's visible investment in employee wellness, benefits, and upskilling programmes. Accenture, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, and SAP round out the top five — a diverse mix of IT services, global consulting, e-commerce, and financial services giants that signals the broadening of professional opportunity across sectors in India.

New Entrants Signal Market Confidence

Several high-profile names made their debut on the list this year, including NVIDIA, HP, Microsoft, and Sandisk, among others. Their entry, according to the report, reflects growing confidence in India's talent market and the country's expanding role in global technology supply chains. Notably, the presence of a semiconductor-focused firm like NVIDIA and storage major Sandisk underscores India's deepening footprint in hardware and chip-adjacent industries.

What Companies Are Looking For

Across technology, finance, and software, companies are prioritising professionals who can combine technical fluency with distinctly human capabilities — communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving — that AI cannot replicate, the report stated. The LinkedIn methodology spans eight pillars, including ability to advance, skills growth, external opportunity, and company affinity, making it a practical reference for professionals at any career stage.
