CSC e-Governance Services Teams Up with CAIT to Enhance Citizen Empowerment

New Delhi, Dec 5 (NationPress) In an effort to enhance the empowerment of individuals through social service programs, CSC e-Governance Services and the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) unveiled a partnership on Thursday to boost engagement from last-mile beneficiaries.
This collaboration aims to empower both traders and citizens nationwide by aiding their enrollment in various social security initiatives, which include the National Pension System (NPS); Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana; Atal Pension Yojana; Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme; DigiPay Sakhi and Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana.
Traders and other citizens will now have direct access to the advantages of government welfare programs through specialized camps organized by CSC.
“Small traders have historically been the backbone of our economy, yet many encounter difficulties in accessing government welfare programs due to a lack of awareness and accessibility,” stated Praveen Khandelwal, CAIT Secretary General and MP from Chandni Chowk.
This partnership between CSC and CAIT guarantees that these vital schemes — covering pensions to entrepreneurial assistance — reach all areas of the country, especially grassroots traders, he noted.
The initiative aims to secure the financial stability of millions while simplifying access to government welfare programs.
“With the extensive reach of CSC’s digital framework and CAIT’s vast network of over nine crore traders, this initiative not only secures the financial future of millions but also promotes a more inclusive and socially empowered trading community,” remarked B.C. Bhartia, CAIT National President.
This collaboration embodies the government’s vision of financial inclusion and will significantly contribute to creating a stronger, self-sufficient India, he added.
CSC SPV, a key player in the Digital India Mission, operates nearly six lakh CSCs across the nation. These centers serve as a fundamental support for India’s digitally and financially inclusive ecosystem, closing the gap between government programs and underserved regions.
“Our mission is to transform the lives of those in remote areas by empowering local communities. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) further solidifies CSC’s role in promoting social empowerment,” stated Sanjay Rakesh, Managing Director and CEO of CSC e-Governance.
