New Delhi, Aug 11 (NationPress) The Delhi government’s flagship Industrial Ideathon 2025 has attracted an extraordinary level of interest from student innovators, as a total of 652 teams have signed up to vie for Rs 40 lakh in prizes and rewards.
The Ideathon will take place across four distinct categories, providing winners the opportunity to showcase their solutions to industry leaders and government decision-makers.
Organized by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) on behalf of the Industries Department, GNCTD, and co-hosted by the esteemed Netaji Subhash University of Technology (NSUT) as the official knowledge partner, this competition invites students to develop technology-driven, practical solutions to industrial challenges faced in Delhi.
The Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated, “This remarkable participation showcases that Delhi’s youth are eager to contribute to our industrial future. It demonstrates their readiness to address the real-world challenges that our businesses encounter daily.”
Out of the 652 registrations, 124 shortlisted teams will now compete in the Preliminary Round on August 13 at NSUT. Over an 8-hour challenge, they will tackle four critical problem statements: Last Mile Logistics inefficiencies and fragmented supply chains in Delhi’s industrial hubs – 175 entries; Tech solutions to enhance Ease of Doing Business for startups and entrepreneurs – 188 entries; Adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies for small and medium industrial units in Delhi – 125 entries; and Building Resilient MSMEs through access to finance, markets, and technology – 164 entries.
Following this preliminary stage, 40 finalist teams - the top 10 from each category - will advance to the Grand Finale on August 22, where they will present their refined solutions to industry and government leaders.
Sirsa added: “Through the Industrial Ideathon, we are forging a connection between academia, industry, and government. Students will engage with real problems yielding measurable impacts, while policymakers will receive fresh, actionable ideas directly from the nation's brightest young talents. This epitomizes policy by participation.”
