Bengaluru, Feb 4 (NationPress) Digi Yatra has celebrated a significant achievement by reaching 1 crore users, with an impressive daily average of 30,000 app downloads. This announcement marks a pivotal moment for the platform in the realm of digital travel solutions.

The Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI)-based framework operates using facial biometric technology to ensure contactless and efficient processing of passengers at airports.

The achievement of 1 crore users highlights the increasing acceptance of the platform and its crucial contribution to offering privacy-focused and effective travel experiences.

“Reaching the 10 million user milestone signifies the trust and confidence our users have in us. Our initiatives, including the ‘d-KYC’ campaign, have propelled our growth in 2024. We are committed to sustaining this momentum through innovation, privacy, and enhancing passenger experiences to achieve further advancements in the future,” stated Suresh Khadakbhavi, CEO of Digi Yatra Foundation.

He also mentioned, “Our collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for the IATA One-ID X Digi Yatra project will further enhance the Digi Yatra experience for international travel, driving additional growth in 2025.”

The d-KYC (Don't Know Your Customer) campaign, initiated in October, underscores the platform's dedication to user privacy and autonomy.

This campaign emphasizes how Digi Yatra serves customers’ needs while ensuring that their personal data is neither stored nor accessed. Established in December 2022, Digi Yatra employs face authentication technology to optimize passenger processing across 24 airports in India.

The platform has already facilitated over 45 million seamless journeys, offering a streamlined experience for countless travelers. Digi Yatra has ambitious plans for 2025.

The platform aims to support all 22 official Indian languages, eliminating language barriers and ensuring every traveler can confidently navigate airport procedures in their preferred language.

Furthermore, Digi Yatra plans to initiate an international pilot project enabling foreign travelers with electronic passports (e-passports) to engage with its seamless ecosystem.
