New Delhi, April 3 (NationPress) The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) announced on Friday that it is facilitating the delivery of approximately 28 lakh LPG cylinders daily, ensuring that the domestic gas supply throughout the nation is both stable and sufficient.
This state-owned oil company confirmed that its operations are progressing smoothly and consistently, maintaining normal levels despite the ongoing geopolitical challenges.
IndianOil has also reassured consumers that there is no shortage of LPG and has urged against panic buying or stockpiling.
“IndianOil is committed to providing uninterrupted LPG supply to households nationwide. With the delivery of around 28 lakh LPG cylinders every day, our operations remain consistent, even amidst evolving geopolitical situations,” stated the leading oil marketing firm in a post on X.
Currently, nearly 87 percent of LPG bookings are being processed through digital channels such as SMS and IVRS. Deliveries are verified using DAC OTP to ensure that cylinders are delivered to the correct customers, as the company actively addresses customer inquiries through its official support avenues.
Additionally, it clarified that 5 kg FTL cylinders are continuously provided by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to migrant workers upon presenting valid ID proof to facilitate accessibility and distribution.
“We have established adequate measures to ensure a steady supply, and there are no disruptions. Therefore, there is no cause for concern or panic, as we are closely monitoring and managing the situation to effectively meet demand,” the oil company emphasized.
“Our primary focus remains on domestic LPG consumers. We are ensuring constant supply through authorized distributors, with strict oversight to prevent diversion and black marketing. It is advisable to book your LPG exclusively through official channels and opt for OTP-based delivery for a secure and reliable service,” IndianOil added.
The company cautioned consumers against believing misleading information circulating on social media, and reminded them that filling petrol into bottles or open containers is not only dangerous but also illegal.
