Mumbai, March 22 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, who recently marked his birthday, has disclosed a significant and the only flaw in his portrayal in the sports biopic ‘Dangal’.

Interestingly, this error was highlighted by legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Aamir was present at the special screening of his debut film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ during the Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai.

While discussing his highest-grossing film ‘Dangal’, Aamir expressed that he regards it as one of his finest works. However, the actor was candid in admitting his oversight.

He recounted that in one of the initial scenes of ‘Dangal’, his character, a young Mahavir Singh Phogat, exclaims “Yes” while reveling in his match victory.

Aamir recalled that Big B remarked on this gesture, stating that it disrupted Aamir’s immersion in the character, as Mahavir, hailing from a rural background, would never say “Yes”.

Aamir expressed regret over this, noting that there was no feasible way to edit out that moment in the final cut, as it would have impacted the overall film. The essence of Aamir's message was that a flawless performance is unattainable, as some errors are inherent to human nature.

Previously, Aamir astonished the Mumbai media when he introduced his partner Gauri ahead of his 60th birthday at a luxurious venue in the Bandra locality of Mumbai. This follows the announcement of his divorce from Kiran Rao, the director of ‘Laapataa Ladies’, after 16 years of marriage in 2021.

Notably, Aamir and Kiran met on the set of the Oscar-nominated film ‘Lagaan’, which he produced alongside his first wife, Reena, who served as the executive producer for the film.
