Mumbai, Feb 5 (NationPress) Bollywood star Ahan Shetty, who has garnered significant acclaim for his performance in the recently launched film ‘Border 2’, has revealed his technique for managing nervous energy before filming a scene.

In a conversation with IANS after the film's debut, he mentioned that music plays a vital role in helping him disengage and concentrate on his upcoming performance.

Ahan stated, “Before a scene, I usually immerse myself in music. I don my noise-cancelling headphones and either relax in the van or sit alone in the tent while listening to tunes. Depending on the scene, I select a music genre that resonates with what I’m about to enact.”

He added, “This is how I manage to block out all distractions—not just the stress but every kind of noise—allowing me to focus on myself and my imminent performance. Of course, the nervousness and anxiety linger right up until I’m ready to shoot.”

In ‘Border 2’, Ahan portrays a Naval officer. Earlier, he had discussed how his training for this role benefited from obtaining his PADI license during the film's pre-production phase.

A PADI license is a recognized scuba diving certification, gained through theoretical learning, pool practice, and four open-water dives, allowing divers to explore depths of up to 18 meters.

Ahan recounted, “I secured my PADI license in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. Having been part of the school swimming team, being underwater felt natural to me. When I learned that these scenes would be included, I was eager to participate. When director Anurag Singh shared the film’s narrative, I was thrilled to know such sequences would be part of it.”

He continued, “We began training about two months prior to filming those underwater scenes to ensure everything went smoothly. Some individuals faced panic underwater due to unfamiliarity, but our dive team and safety personnel ensured everything went off without a hitch, and I believe the final product looks fantastic.”

‘Border 2’ centers around the Battle of Basantar, a pivotal engagement during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 in India’s western sector. The Indian forces emerged victorious after a grueling fight that solidified their hold on this region of Punjab and Jammu.
