Mumbai, April 19 (NationPress) Writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla has issued a public challenge to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap following his derogatory comments about the Brahmins. In a video posted on his Instagram, Shukla addressed Kashyap directly: "If your income is low, manage your expenses wisely, and if your knowledge is lacking, think before you speak. Anurag Kashyap, both your income and knowledge are minimal. You lack the capability to tarnish even a fraction of the Brahmin legacy. Yet, since you've expressed your intent, I’m willing to send some photographs to your home. You can then decide on whom to direct your vitriol (or 'urinate on')" - referencing figures such as Acharya Chanakya, Chandra Tiwari Shekhar Azad, Bajirao Ballad, Lord Parashurama, Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Adi Shankaracharya, Mangal Pandey, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tatya Tope, Rajguru, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Param Vir Captain Manoj Pandey, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Sangeet Samrat Tansen, Lata Mangeshkar, Rani Lakshmibhai, Maha Kavi Kalidas, and Goswami Tulsidas. Countless detractors like you will fade away before the illustrious legacy of the Brahmins.
Shukla further cautioned Kashyap, stating that if he cannot substantiate his words, he should learn to respect boundaries.
"As a Brahmin, I extend to you an open challenge. Select one name from the 21 I’ve provided, and I will gladly send you the photograph. If you lack the courage to act on your statements, you should understand your limitations," Shukla concluded.
Kashyap has yet to respond to this challenge.
For context, one of Kashyap's comments about the Brahmins has sparked significant controversy.
In response to the remark, "Brahmins are your father," the director stated, "Brahmin pe main m***a..koi problem (I'll pee on the Brahmins...any problem)?"
Kashyap later issued an apology for his statement on social media.
