Mumbai, Jan 27 (NationPress) Following the recent knife attack on him, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has revamped his security measures. The security protocols at his residence have been modified, and this change also extends to his wife Kareena Kapoor and their home.

Additionally, security enhancements are being implemented at Fortune Heights, the building where Saif previously resided, which is currently being utilized as an office.

The attack occurred when an assailant forcibly entered his Bandra home through the room of his youngest child, Jeh, in the early hours of Thursday. Reports indicate that Saif drove himself to the hospital, accompanied by his son Taimur.

According to media accounts, medical professionals extracted a 2.5-inch knife from his injury. Saif sustained multiple stab wounds while attempting to defend himself against the attacker, with six injuries in total, two of which were classified as critical due to their proximity to his spine. The incident unfolded after the assailant allegedly broke into their Bandra residence, attacking a house employee before Saif intervened.

Saif was alerted to the situation by the disturbance in his son Jeh’s room. Upon entering, he witnessed the assailant arguing with their house help, prompting him to intervene unarmed to protect the employee.

In the meantime, the Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai has raised pertinent questions regarding the insurance claim process connected to this incident.

The association has formally contacted the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), expressing concerns over the expedited approval of claims involving a high-profile individual.

In their correspondence, the group inquired why preferential treatment appeared to be granted to Saif Ali Khan, noting that the insurance company Niva Bupa approved a sum of ₹25 lakhs to Lilavati Hospital for Saif's treatment within hours.
