Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) 'Pathan' director Siddharth Anand was recently spotted outside Lilavati Hospital as he paid a visit to Saif Ali Khan, who had reportedly been stabbed during an attempted robbery at his residence in Mumbai.
Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan were also present at the hospital to see their father.
According to an official statement from Saif Ali Khan's team, the actor is currently out of danger, stating, “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is now stable. He is in recovery, and the medical team is monitoring his condition. All family members are safe, and the police are conducting an investigation into the incident. We extend our gratitude to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr. Leena Jain, and the entire team at Lilavati Hospital. We also thank all his fans and supporters for their prayers and concern during this challenging time.”
Additionally, Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, provided a statement indicating, “Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unidentified individual at his home. He was brought in at 3:00 AM by his son Taimur Ali Khan along with their caretaker. He has sustained six wounds from sharp objects, including knives, with two being severe and one located near his spine. A small foreign object near the spine has been detected.”
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times while attempting to fend off a burglar during the early hours of January 16, 2025. Reports suggest that the burglar unlawfully entered the star's Bandra home and attacked their house staff. Saif Ali Khan intervened, resulting in his injuries.
The Baazaar actor sustained six stab wounds, with two of them being critical due to their proximity to his spine. At the time of the incident, Kareena Kapoor Khan and other family members were present at the home, but they were asleep.
