22 Palestinians Lose Lives in Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza

Gaza, Dec 26 (NationPress) At least 22 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip, as reported by Palestinian sources.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Civil Defence in Gaza, informed Xinhua that Israeli aircraft targeted tents accommodating displaced individuals within the Al-Muhabban school located in northern Gaza City on Wednesday.
Civil defence teams retrieved at least seven bodies and 25 injured individuals from the school following the Israeli strikes, transferring them to a local hospital, Basal stated. Eyewitnesses and local sources indicated that the tents ignited and some bodies were disfigured in the assault.
The Israeli military released a statement asserting that an Israeli Air Force aircraft, acting on intelligence, struck a Hamas member in the Al-Furqan area of Gaza City. The statement claimed the military implemented precautions, such as utilizing precision munitions, aerial reconnaissance, and intelligence, to mitigate civilian casualties.
In Beit Hanoun town in northern Gaza, four individuals lost their lives due to an Israeli strike on a residence sheltering displaced persons, while paramedics reported four additional fatalities from an Israeli bombardment targeting a group of Palestinians east of Jabalia.
Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, mentioned that three bodies along with dozens of injured individuals were received at the hospital after a gathering east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza was struck. The Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis also reported receiving four bodies following an Israeli airstrike on a house east of the city.
According to a recent update from Gaza's health authorities on Wednesday, a staggering 45,361 Palestinians have been killed and 107,803 others injured since October 7, 2023.
This latest escalation from Israel occurred after a surprise attack by Hamas on southern Israeli towns, which Israeli reports indicate resulted in approximately 1,200 Israeli deaths and over 200 hostages.
