Nairobi, Dec 11 (NationPress) The Union Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, participated in the festivities at the iconic Sri Ram Temple in Kenya to honor Diwali's addition to the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Expressing his gratitude, Singh shared on X, "It's a privilege to partake in the celebrations at the historic Sri Ram Temple, commemorating UNESCO's recognition of Diwali as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Established in 1919 in Kenya, Prabhu Shri Ram's Temple symbolizes India's cultural pride and the shared historical ties between our nations."

The discussions aimed at exploring further opportunities for collaboration between India and Kenya in sustainable wildlife protection.
"I look forward to the swift signing of the framework agreement of the International Big Cat Alliance by Kenya, as one of its founding members. I appreciated our expanding tourism connections and discussed strategies to enhance tourism flows," Singh noted on X after the meeting.
Furthermore, the MoS engaged with Dmitri Tetenkin, Russia's Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, where they deliberated on climate action, sustainable resource management, forest fire management, falcon conservation, and strengthening bilateral environmental cooperation.
"India and Russia share a unique and privileged strategic partnership. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, India is dedicated to fortifying these ties as we jointly strive towards a sustainable planet," Singh remarked.
