Houthis from Yemen Announce New Drone Strike on Military Target in Tel Aviv, Israel

Sanaa, Dec 20 (NationPress) The Houthi group from Yemen has announced the execution of a drone strike targeting a military installation in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, claiming to have successfully achieved its objective.
Yahya Sarea, the military spokesperson for the Houthis, stated during a televised address on the Houthi-operated al-Masirah TV on Thursday, "We are prepared for a prolonged conflict with the Israeli enemy. Our operations will continue until the Israeli aggression against Gaza ceases."
No official response has been issued from Israel regarding the Houthi claims, according to reports from Xinhua news agency.
Earlier the same day, Israel conducted a series of airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in northern Yemen, resulting in the destruction of two significant power stations in Sanaa and targeting fuel storage facilities in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
The Houthi group reported that the Israeli airstrikes at dawn resulted in the deaths of nine individuals at the ports of Ras Isa and As-Salif in Hodeidah, with three more sustaining injuries.
These early morning strikes inflicted considerable damage on the Houthi forces, who have control over large parts of northern Yemen, utilizing the ports for the import of fuel and cooking gas for residents in their controlled territories.
Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces, stated on the social media platform X that the Israeli military executed "precise strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen," following the Houthis' launch of a long-range rocket at Tel Aviv the previous night.
Since late 2014, the Houthi group has maintained control over much of northern Yemen, leading to the displacement of the internationally recognized Yemeni government from Sanaa.
Since November 2023, the Houthis have been engaged in rocket and drone attacks against Israeli cities and have disrupted shipping linked to Israel in the Red Sea, purportedly to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza amid ongoing conflict with Israel.
