Houthis in Yemen Announce Attack on Three US Military Supply Vessels and Two Destroyers

Sanaa, Dec 11 (NationPress) The Houthi faction in Yemen reported that they launched attacks on three US military supply vessels following their departure from the Port of Djibouti.
According to Yahya Sarea, the military spokesperson for the Houthis, they also aimed at two American destroyers in the Gulf of Aden that were accompanying the supply ships. This statement was broadcasted by the Houthi-operated al-Masirah TV.
Sarea indicated that their forces utilized multiple rockets and drone strikes in this operation, asserting that the strikes were precisely executed, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
He further stated that this marks the second attack on the same vessels and destroyers within a span of ten days.
In conjunction with this announcement, Sarea also claimed that the Houthis conducted two additional military strikes targeting Israeli military facilities in the Jaffa and Ashkelon regions of Israel using two drones on Tuesday morning.
The Houthi group, which holds a significant portion of northern Yemen, has been executing rocket and drone assaults aimed at Israel and disrupting shipping linked to Israel in the Red Sea since November 2023, purportedly to express solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza amidst their ongoing conflict with Israel.
In retaliation, the US-British naval coalition stationed in the region has been conducting air and missile strikes against Houthi positions since January, which has only led to an escalation of Houthi attacks targeting US and British commercial and naval vessels.
