New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) India and Oman engaged in discussions on Monday to reaffirm their dedication to enhance defence cooperation by advancing the Military Logistic Complex, fostering better collaboration in shipbuilding, and improving Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities. Furthermore, they strengthened training cooperation and explored opportunities for defence exports.

This dialogue took place during a meeting between Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan and Oman's Ministry of Defence Secretary General Mohammed Bin Nasser Bin Ali Al-Zaabi, who is visiting New Delhi for the 13th Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) meeting.

According to a statement shared on X by the Integrated Defence Staff Headquarters, "General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, conducted an extensive discussion with HE Dr Mohammed Bin Nasser Bin Ali Al-Zaabi, Secretary General, MoD, Sultanate of Oman. The dialogue reaffirmed the commitment to enhance Defence Cooperation through the development of the Military Logistic Complex, improved collaboration in shipbuilding, MRO, and strengthened training cooperation, along with opportunities for defence exports."

Both nations also exchanged insights on enhancing maritime security, refining border management, and ensuring efficient operational turnaround of IN platforms, while facilitating effective IAF and IN flight clearances to support increasing operational engagements.
