Tehran, April 6 (NationPress) No Iranian personnel were harmed in a recent US airstrike on Yemen, as reported by Iran's Tasnim news agency, which maintains close ties with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

This statement was issued in response to comments made by Yemen's Minister of Information, Moammar al-Eryani, who claimed on social media platform X on Friday that 70 members of the Houthi group, including high-ranking field commanders and Iranian experts from the IRGC, were killed in a US airstrike on Tuesday.

The strike reportedly targeted a Houthi assembly in Al-Fazah, a coastal region in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, according to Xinhua.

Tasnim refuted the assertion as inaccurate, stating: "The report regarding the martyrdom of Iranian forces in Yemen is incorrect. Follow-ups by Tasnim's reporter indicate that the claim is false and no Iranian has been martyred in Yemen."

Tasnim further stated that the alleged "false" news seems to align with the anti-Iran psychological operations intended to heighten tensions in the West Asia region. It reiterated prior declarations by Iranian officials that Houthi forces are independently battling against the US and Israel.

Earlier on Saturday, at least one individual was killed and four others injured when US airstrikes targeted a solar energy store and a residence in Yemen's northern city of Saada, medics reported.

Medics classified the casualty figures as preliminary, noting that civil defense teams were engaged in extinguishing blazes and searching for victims at the struck locations in the Hafsin area of western Saada city, the capital of the namesake Saada province, as per Xinhua.

The Houthi group previously denied US assertions that an American airstrike had struck a meeting of its military leaders in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
